Nowadays, handmade toys in the form of pendants are gaining popularity. They can decorate any room in the house, dress up dry branches or decorate the tree for the Christmas holidays. In my master class you will learn how to make a felt hearts in just a few steps.
Materials and tools:
- felt of any color;
- toy stuffing or absorbent cotton;
- thread;
- needle;
- scissors;
- a sheet of paper or cardboard;
- colored yarn or satin ribbon;
- rhinestones.
Step 1: Prepare the materials
You can choose materials of any color. You can choose yarns similar to the color of the felt, or you can choose contrasting ones.
Step 2: Cut out the hearts from the felt
First, make a heart-shaped paper template of the desired size and cut it out. Now take the colors of felt you need and cut out the hearts using the paper pattern. You’ll need 2 felt blanks each to create 1 finished heart.
Step 3: Stitch around the sides of the two heart blanks
Step 4: Add toy stuffing
Leave a small hole for stuffing. Don’t stuff it too much so that the heart is soft and not tight.
Step 5: Sew the ribbon on
Step 6: Decorate your hearts
Now you need to decorate your craft a bit. Take silicone glue or whatever you have and use a toothpick to dab the rhinestones and glue them on in any order you want. As a result, you should get a beautiful heart from felt.
You can make several of these hearts to get a whole composition for decoration.
